Ella del Monte – Italian Handcrafted Jewelry Craftswoman

An independent jewelry designer who blends geological knowledge with traditional goldsmithing techniques. At 38, she established her workshop in an old stone mill outside San Gimignano, Tuscany, using natural crystal and oxidized sterling silver as her primary creative mediums.

Background & Experience: A dual lineage: Her grandmother was one of the last traditional lace weavers in Florence, and her father was a geology professor. Her childhood was immersed in both delicate handcrafted structures and the raw beauty of natural crystals.

Formal training: After obtaining a geology degree from the University of Bologna, dissatisfied with the cold analysis of the laboratory, she resolutely switched to jewelry design.
